Haha

Today is a good day. I have finished two of three major projects i have to do this semester. I had to write a paper on worldviews, which i think i did very well. And then I also had to plan an event. I was going to plan a wedding of my dreams (there is no budget limit) but that was too much work, so i just planned an engagement party. It turned out to be like $44,443.93 mostly because of my jewellery. I married a millionaire, just so you all know. lol. For an engagement gift he bought me a mansion for when we get married so i am have the party there, and it has a couple acres on it too so i can have horses and stuff (it already has a barn there). So yes, it's a good one. For next Friday i have to start up a church and budget that out and stuff liek that, plan a worship schedule and everything. So yah...that will a bit of work that i will hopefully get done this weekend.

For plans on Saturday morning I am going online and buying tickets to Rascal Flatts. They are coming to Vancouver on April 2 and I am going to go. Then i think in the evening I am going to go to the Christmas tree prettiness in Vancouver with my friend Nina. On sunday I am going to a new church with my friend Becca and then me and Nina have a movie date in the evening. On Monday i am going to the states with Bri to go christmas shopping so that shoudl be good. Tuesday morning I have an exam (songwriting). Thursday I have to give a speech for 10 minutes which i am really nervous about. And then on Friday I have a big exam, so i am a little nervous abotu that, but hopefully i can do alot of studying and i will feel comfortable about that. And on Wednesday night i am staying overnighta t Amy's. Thursday she is staying overnighta t my place. Friday night is the banquet, which i am so excited about...everyone always looks so nice :) And then I will probably stay up all night cuz my plane leaves at 6:30am on Saturday, but Becca is on my same flight, so it will be good! So i didn't realize how mjuch plans i have, i guess I will be busy these next week! but then i get to go home and I am so excited.

So nothing else is really new here, just finishing up school and i can't wait to go home. I am really excited to just relax and do nothing and not have to worry about like homework and stuff and room checks and curfew. Oh baby! It will be so good. But yes,Well, iwill probs rigth again on this before coming home, but who knows. So yes,i will let you all go...it's been fun!

Christmastime is upon us...

Hello friends and family, mostly just family I guess. I have figured out that a good time to write is during my Friday morning class...Survey of Christian Beliefs. I still take the notes and hear what he is saying, but alot of time they do discussions and well, i am not a discussor, so yah! But I didn't have class last week, therefore it has been about 2 weeks since I last wrote. They have been great weeks.

Last weekend I watched alot of movies. My laptop power chord was broken and my battery was dead, so I didn't not have a computer, therefore, I couldn't do my homework. So I went down to the aframe with some cross stitch and my theory and watched movies all day. On Saturday I was asked to dog sit for my friend cuz she was going toa wedding all day! I normally wouldn't do that cuz i am not a huge dog person, but this one was especially good. I will put pictures of the dog up, she is so small and her name is Honey. We watched tv, went for a walk, went to Starbucks, and just hung out. I love her. I went to the movie "Enchanted" too and it was sooo good! It was also really good because I went with a girl from my school. I haven't really done alot of hanging out with people from the school this entire semester, so it was fun to just hang out with her. And well, we had a good time and really enjoyed the movie. oh, and last weekend was a long one cuz we had Thursday and Friday off for US Thanksgiving. I didn't go to the states at all, nuts, missed out on the US feast, but it's all good. Lots of the people here are from the US so they all went home for the weekend, and then yah I guess alot of them went shopping on "black friday" i have heard crazy stories about that! YIKES! But yah, that was my weekend.

This last week has been good to. I had homework due on Wednesday, but other than that I have been slackin off. i have some big term projects due on Friday the 7th which I have started on, but i plan to do them this weekend! I hadn't really been doing devotions or spending time with God everyday this semester, i would periodically but not all the time. So i think that's the reason my semester has been so up and down (mostly down). But I knew what I had to do but i just didn't do it, and then I had a talk with my friend Becca and she's liek I just set aside the same time everyday to spend time with God and then I know during that time that's what I have to do. So I did that and I look forward to that time everyday, it is so great! I love it. So yah, this week has been really great because of that and i am learning so much. And I had my Worship Leading Lab this week with my favorite teacher Russ. He is so great! Wow, he is sucha good teacher. But we talked about like Intercession and well prophetic worship like we always do. And like not being afraid to bring worship into the community and how it affects community. So it was cool, and like through it I got so antsy. I just wanted to get up and go do these things taht we were talking about but I didn't know how to get them started and I was sitting in class. So yah, i love that class, it just inspires me sooooo much! I just wish I could take him with me to get things started, i am not a very strong leader and I find it hard to step out of my comfort zone but i guess if God wants me to do that, then he will give me the strength... But yah...so that was this week!

This weekend is homework! Whoop whoop! One of my projects I get to plan my wedding so it's all good. But yes, I am looking forward to Christmas. I have lights up in my room, mom sent me a little Christmas tree which i set up in my room and I listen to Christmas music all the time! I can't wait to go home too! YAY! Another week of school...

Hello all! This week is nothing exciting. I had a really good weekend last weekend, so that was a great start to this week. I had a short week as I only got back to school on Monday night, but I got a call from my friend Amy that a tree had fallen on all three of their families trucks so she no longer had a vehicle to commute with. So she called and asked if she could stay with me this week on campus until they figure out what they can do with their cars. So this week was sleepovers!!! It has been fun..but now it is Friday and Amy is going home for the weekend. She may be back next week, but we don't know. But this has sucked because I have been sick. I started getting sick on the weekend and it has just escalated from there so it has been brutal. But today I took alot of drugs and so I think I will be ok for a couple hours anyways.

School has been alright. I had alot of assignments due this week and it is nearing the end of the semester so alot more are becoming due. This weekend I have plans to do alot of my big assignments like the final ones for each class that are due on the 7th of december or whatever. I have quite a few so I have decided i need to get a head start. So this weekend might not be that exciting for me but hopefully i get a lot done. On Saturday I think Imight do a bit of Christmas shopping and then I am going to my friend Bri's engagement party, so that will be fun! I don't know if I have told you all but I get to be a bridesmaid in her wedding. YAY so exciting! But yah, that's this weekend.

Starting yesterday at 1:15 we had this 24 hours of prayer at our school, so it ends today at 1:15. But last night my Lifegroup went to it and it was really cool. We just went to the different centres they had like communion, casting you cares, praying for the nation, thanksfulness, and prayer for the school and it was super good. We just took turns praying and leading the group and the did whatever we were suppoed to like write a prayer or cast a stone into a bowl that symbolized our cares, fear, or worries. So yah i went well and it was so peaceful, i haven't felt at peace like that for a long time, so it was so great! Oh and yesterday too we had this speaker in our Worship Leading Lab class and he is really prophetic, and so he spoke to each of us about what God was telling him. It was so cool cuz he was so dead on with everyone! Crazy! And with me he told me God was telling him the same things that God has been telling me, so that was encouraging that there was confirmation for me. It also got me really excited because the things he said are some of the things that I feel really passionate about! YAY! But yes, it was great, i loved it!

But other than this nothing else is really new. I really want to travel right now, but what else is new! I have been looking at my Europe pictures so tha tmakes me want to travel too. Boo. But i guess i can wait. But anyways, i should wrap this up and take some notes in class.

It's been a long time coming!

Hello! I have not written a while to everyone's dismay I'm sure. I've been really busy with school work and stuff like that. It seems around this time of year everything is due. Last week I had midterms and this week was pretty slack but next week everything is due again, so it sucks! My midterms went alright, I've passed all the ones that I've gotten back so far, but those aren' the ones I was worried about. This week I have been happier than I have been most of the semester, so it has been great. This week I had a dancing intensive on Tuesday. It was fun we each had to have one dance move and then we showed the class, and then we went to a corner and tried doing it with like 3 other body parts and made liek a little routine. We showed the clas and then we got in groups and combined everyone's and it was cool. And then we got to dance with the flags and it was so much fun! I love dancing with flags. And in church this last sunday there were dancer with flags and stuff and it was soooo cool! I love it. There are so many things that people do here that I absolutely love...about church and stuff liek that. So oher thanthe living in dorms thing I am loving it here. I am learning so much, so much stuff that I want to apply. Everytime I sit in my Worship Leading class I always want to just flyhome and apply it to our church at home! Never fails.

I am acquaintances with alot of people here. I find that that's what people do. They make acquaintances, they don't really make friends. Everyone is so consumed in themselves and everything that is going on in their lives that when you want to tell them something about you. Its tough. There are a couple people who are sincere and I love it! But I have found lately that relationships I thought were so good are all just superficial. I hate it! But it's alright, i have already vented for liek the last two days and I need to get over it. But good news!!!1 GINGERBREAD LATTES ARE HERE FOR THE SEASON!!!!! So I have already bought my first one...a Venti!!! Yep, so i am exicted about this and have been saving my money up for this paritcular season in my life. It will be a good time. I am going out for coffee with my friend Becca tomorrow cuz GB's are here!!! yay.

But yah. I am including some pictures of me and my friend Amy. The other day we went to the park and went walking downthe pathsand took some pictures. People (Asian tourists to be exact) feed the black squirrels in that park and so they are friendly and if you are standing there they will come and stand really close to you cuz they think you're going to feed them. Well we sawone in a tree and well, i like squirrels, so i went to go take a picture and Amy was freaking out. I got the pic safely. We stopped on th bridge and took pics of the ducks and us. And then we were standing on the bridge and she turned and there was a squirrel coming towards us and well, she freaked right out. She couldn't move from where she was standing cuz she was so sure that the squirrel was coming to eat out our lungs. And so she started creaping past me and once she got past she bolted down the path, meanwhile i was trying to take pictures of this thing. It's claws were so long and scary and no matter how much i tried to scare him he wouldn' tmove. And then he finally did and so i called Amy back, but she was so scared and i just about peed i was laughing so hard. Then we were takin pictres by this stump in he woodsy area and a squirrel started creepin, so she freaked out and ran away. And i videoed it and she almost pooped her pants cuz where she wa runing to was another squirrel coming towards her, she couldn't escape them! hahaha. And so anyways, then we left cuz she was so scared, but it was a good time. So there are some pictures of us. Oh and then last night i went to her house like I do every Wednesday night an we did our nails and did face masks and it was so girly but fun! She is my friend! The best one I have here!

But anyways that's long enouh for one time, I will write more when I have more happening! Peace to all! it'salmost Christmas! YAY!

Good times...

Hello! So today is a good day to write, it is rainy and very cold. I don't know the temperature but it has only got to be about max 10 degrees, but probably under. Life has been alright lately. Things were going well, but then I went to hang out in the aframe the other day and I feel down the stairs (funny I know) but not so much cuz I fell on the right side of my body but had to sort of catch myself with my left and that's the surgery knee. I didn't feel anythign give so I think it's alright, but the last couple days it has been soooo sore i was worried i hurt it again. But Candice and i kinda think that it is just cuz that's the most action its seen in a while and so it is just sore now. We'll see I guess. This was a big week in school for me cuz I had some questions due on Wednesday and alot of theory work, and then a criticial book review due tomorrow and that is the most homework I have had yet this year so yah...

But yesterday to kinda lighten the mood I went to White Rock with some friends. I love it there it is soo beautiful. There is the giant (painted) white rock and then some grassy areas and the "beach" and then there is the long pier with the ocean. I love it when the tide is in and all the boats are sitting there tied up and and everything. When you walk to the end of the pier you can see the gulls, starfish, sometimes you can see crabs. Yesterday when we went there was a seagull ripping apart a fish head, we were hoping a couple seagulls would fight over it and then they would fight each other to the death, but no such luck. I went with my friends Bubba, Alex, and Amanda. We just basically walked up and down the beach and the pier and took a ton of pictures, some of which are posted on here. Turns out going to the beach might not have been a good idea because my knee killed by the end of it, I was freezing cold, and my entire body just ached. So after supper I had like a 30 min boiling hot shower and then snuggled in about 20 layers down in the aframe so that I wouldn't fall asleep. I procrastinated a while and then decided to get right into my book review and got it finished before midnight, so that was exciting.

Today mom and dad are coming. And they are bringing the beetle for me so it is so thrilling. Freedom! And I get to go for supper with them tonight and probably shopping all day tomorrow (yes, I get to skip classes). And yah, it will be a good time, it seems like I just saw them but at the same time I can't wait! I was so antsy this morning in my class. Normally we do some singing "worshipping" and then we discuss it and I normally discuss with the class but today i just couldn't focus and I it was crazy, plus I was tired. After the class the teacher was like i was expecting more out of you girls today (me, Amy, and Bri) you seemed a little distracted. So then i told him about the sleep issue and that my parents are coming, and he was a little more understanding. I like that teacher though, he is super cool! But yah, that's all that's been happening here, but I will keep you posted when things are going on!

Come one, come all...

So, last weekend was Thanksgiving. It was a good time indeed. I hung out all weekend and watched tv on my computer, just in my room by myself. But it was so nice to just sit and relax. I didn't do homework (which i shoudl have) but it's ok. Candice came to pick me up at around 10:30pm and went to Joe's Hockey game in Langley. they lost but it was a pretty good game. Then we came back to the dorms and hung out for a bit. We had to be sleuth-like because we were in past curfew, but we made it in and then had a little party. We popped some popcorn, and watched an episode of Reba. But then we got too tired and so we went to bed at like 2:30am. We got up early the next day to go to church at the 9 o'clock service with Alex and then right after that we went to Abbotsford, to Joe's house. We stopped at the Superstore to pick up a potato masher and it was a gong show but Alex is funny, so it was a good time. Candice laughed and I think she had fun, so that was good. Joe had got up early to throw the turkey in and so when we got there we just cut up and mashed the potatoes and got the final details ready. It actually turned out good. we had to call mom once to figure out a problem, but we got it figured out and it tasted delicious. I was so glad I didn't miss out on that meal! We just hung out and played games. I had a minor laugh attack and couldn't breath for a little while, so obviously i was having fun! :)

On Monday I just hung out and then I made supper for my friends. I made the yummy sour cream chicken from the mennonite cook book and they really liked it and said i got my cooking skills from my mom :) I was happy. It was the first meal I have ever cooked and they really really liked it. So taht was exciting for me. But then i came back to the school and did a little bit of homework and went to bed late.

This week has been pretty good. It has been short so that's encouraging. I learned how to chord on the piano (I sorta taught myself) and then in songwriting we used partly my idea for the songme and Amy did so it was so cool. I was so proud of myself. Theory was hard and it is discouraging but i guess i have to keep working through it cuz i won't be able to do other things if i don't get it down. And chapel was relaly good yesterday so yah, this week has been really good. On Wednesday night I stayed over at Amy's house and it was good. I got to watch America's Next Top Model and it was good to just hang out with her again. I like hanging out with her alot, she's such a good friend! I think I might go there every Wednesday night if she wants me too. Ha, and she woke me up at what seemed to be really early, but I was like ok, well i guess it's time to get up. So she turned on the lights and her straightener and stuff and then came and sat back on her bed to check the time again and she did and i was like wow, it doesn't even seem like we went to bed. So i checked the time on my cell phone and it said 11:30. I was like Amy we have been in bed for like an hour go back to bed! So we laughed really hard and shut everything off and went to bed. It was very funny. But yah. And then tonight (Friday) there is a french singer lady coming to our school and she is going to sing. She has some albums out in french and just released one in English, so i think i am going to buy some french ones if they are good :) So I am eexcited about that. I have alot ofhomework to do this weekend, but it will be ok and a good weekend.

It's been a while!

Well everyone! It has been a while as the title clearly states. I'm sure a lot has happened since September 10 when I supposedly blogged last. School. School has happened. I have been attending all my classes, haven't skipped a one. My friend Lani has been sick and has been at home for the past week, so it gave me alot of time to hang out with my other friend Becca. In that time we raided her closet and helped her to not let the dust settle on her very stylish clothing, we also helped her food to not go rotten, and helped keep her plants alive. So it was very eventful, as you can imagine. On the weekends I have been trying to get away as I am getting sick of dorm life and it sucks not being able to go anywhere during the week or anything.

I am really enjoying my classes. They are all so interesting and I am learning alot. I really like my singing teacher too, she is really good and I am learning alot of correction from the mistakes I was making when I had a different teacher last semester. And she's pregnant which is cute! :) In my worship leading class I have to lead on Thursday which is really scary for me cuz I don't like doing those kind of things in front of people, but it should be good cuz I can invite other people to come play instruments and stuff for me but yah i am leading! YIKES. In my sightsinging class we have this thing called the Happy Bag. And we have to either sightsing or clap (whatever we pull out of the bag) and then we win a prize. But if you pull out a Happy Bag then you get one of each of the prizes! I got it today for the first time in the 2 other semesters that I have been here! YAY! So I got easy mac, chocolate bar, and a dinosaur. And then we have event planning which is really cool and today we were talking about who we were going to get for our Worship Seminar and stuff and we are going to ask David Crowder Band I think. Some people in our school have a connection so he might be able to come. For those of you who don't know what that means he is a really good "Christian" singer and like a worship leader and stuff like that and he is really good. So yah either that or Starfield (another Christian group). So that is cool too.

Last weekend we had a Faculty and Friends concert thing and the teachers from my school played their instrument and sang. It was pretty cool. One guy played the congas, one played the amazing guitar, and others did their worship thingw hich was cool. And then on the Saturday night I went to a BC Lions vs. Calgary Stampeders game which was really boring for the first half and then it got better. And me and my friend Alex were trash talking each others team but I was really really bad at it. He was cheering for BC Lions and I was for Calgary of course! But it was fun. There is this British couple here going to school and they are married and they are the coolest ever! I love them. And it was their first "American" Football game and haha the first time one of the players got tackled Zoe screamed! I laughed, she is so funny! I think they are bringing "Gateau" to our songwriting class tomorrow. They were telling us the difference between cake and gateau and biscuits and cookies and stuff so we decided that every week they need to bring in some gateau, so we'll see what happens!

Anyways, that's all that is happening here. I get to cook Thanksgiving dinner with Candice this coming weekend and I invited my American friend Alex for it. So it will be so much fun, he is the best! :) Anyways, until we meet again...Happy trails.

Back at School!

Yay! Back at school again, what a great thing. Today was our actual first day of classes and it was hard to go back. I had sightsinging and ear training first thing this morning and well let me tell you it is kinda tough after not doing it for the entire summer. 4 months! But I think it will be a good year for that. And I got to see my good friends Brianna and Amy today. I introduced them to my friends Lani and Bekah (whom amy and bri think are replacing them, but they aren't). And then we had Chapel worship team practice which was good. I am not singing this week, but I can't wait for chapel, i have missed it so much.

Last weekend I went to the Puyallup Fair and hung out with more friends, which was a good time. The rodeo was amazing! It was soooo good and there was a guy there doing the steer wrestling from Donalda, Alberta! They announced it, and it was in Washington! I was like wow, that is right by Stettler! It was exciting for me. So I took alot of pictures and then we walked around. And we didn't even see everything and we were walking around for like 3 hours or so. it is a huge fair! We saw the Muton Bustin. It is where little 5 or 6 year olds ride a sheep! It was sooooo cute! I told Justin that that is what my kids are going to do, they are all going to be little muton bustin babies! I loved it. And we saw some of the Clydesdale horses, they were so big and beautiful. I loved them too. It was so good to be in the country atmosphere, i loved everything about it, i had so much fun. But I was so tired when we came home! I was glad to leave! But then my friend Tom wants to go to a rodeo and he couldn't come this last weekend so I tried to find another rodeo that we could go to. And so I found one in Yakima, Washington which is like at least a 4 hour drive and so me, Tom, and my friend Lani are going there. She is from Washington so she knows where to go. lol. But that will be a fun time.

So yah, I've basically been hanging out and having fun, meeting lots of new people. I am very excited for retreat when I can meet more people. I am kinda nervous though because being inmy second year I have to lead worship, and I am really nervous that she is going to make me lead at the retreat and I really don't want to. i am not good at leading. So yah. But I know it will be a good time and i am very excited. it is this weekend the 14-16 just so you know. well, I think that about raps er up. Talk to you soon!

BC Finally!

So I am back in BC for good now. Well, not for good, but for a good while. Yay! This last weekend I went on "cruise" with Aja and the rest of the Student Works Painting people form western Canada. The cruise was really only on Friday evening we went around the different islands by Vancouver...it was nice. It was really pretty when the skyline was lit up at night when we pulled back into the harbor. On Friday during the day me and Aja went to Metrotown to go shopping. We rented a wheelchair so I didn't have to walk and it was a good time. On Saturday during the day everyone went to the beach and there was a beach volleyball tournament, but of course i couldn't play, so that was sad. But it was alright to just sit and chill (and I mean chill) on the beach. And in the evening we went out for a nice supper and just hung out with the different people. And on Sunday we had the whole day to do whatever so Aja and I went to the Vancouver Aquarium. Oh man...I love that place. the animals are so cute! Especially the sea otters! They weren't there the last time I went so it was good to see them...I love them! But now that is over and i am back in Surrey. Today i am just unpacking and Amy is coming in half an hour to help and to visit and I can't wait to see her. And then her and her mom and me are going out for supper! So needless to say i am so pumped to be back. I look forward to this year. It looks like i might be staying in dorms longer than i wanted, but i guess we will see what happens. I have a room to myself so that is really really nice! i have a lot of stuff so it is nice to spread itout and not have it crowded into just a little space.

The Second Melon ha ha

Well, here we are again. Everyday Candice asks me if I read her blog and if I commented on her blog and I laugh everytime. She is so into this whole blogging technology thing. lol. It is kinda cute, but really funny. Kinda like today when me and mom went to Edmonton and we went to Starbucks and I said, "Ok mom, I want a grande java chip fappucino" so she was practicing the order and just had it memorized and then I was like "well, if you got that down then I want to add something. I want a grande java chip frappucino with an extra shot of espresso". So she was practicing that order again and said, " a grande java chip frappucino with and extra shot? of espresso" and well, I just laughed because she is kind of out of the whole Starbucks lingo and was struggling a little bit. It was quite humorous, I laughed basically the whoel time she was in the store.

This past week/weekend I just layed at home letting my knee heal. I am suprised I haven't written more blogs then, but it's ok. And in two days I watched the entire first season of Prison Break and absolutely love them! I never stopped watching...haha just ask mom! So needless to say it was good when we got out of the house today to go to Edmonton for my follow-up appointment with the hot doc. Got my stitches removed and a therapy protocol thing. So we are all set now to go to BC...oh and I got a wheelchair for our shopping trip in the states! YES!!!! We're going to have fun with that. And well, I get to continue to sit on my rump and not do anything for the next couple days til we go back to BC and my momma is even going to pack for me! Yippeee!

I am sad the summer is over and that we don't get to go in our pool anymore and soak up the sun. But at the same time I am so excited to go back to school and see my friends! I think it will be a good year and alot of things are going to happen! But this is all that has happened in my life...so I hope you enjoyed.

The First Melon

This is my first blog. I will writing on this for the rest of my life. Well, just kidding, but I think it will be easier to do this this year rather than emails all the time, that I sometimes don't get around to writing. I still enjoy getting emails, so if you feel like you want to write then go for it. I am crippled right now, just had knee surgery, but things are progressing nicely and I am able to put quite abit of weight of it. I am very excited to go back to school in a couple weeks, but other than that I am just chillaxin here at home. I hope you enjoy!
